Dr. Dean Shivvers

Dr. Dean Shivvers grew up in Van Meter Iowa a small town near Des Moines.
He received his Doctorate degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences in Los Angeles in 2013.  While working his way through graduate school Dr. Shivvers was also the president of the Gonstead Club, a specific chiropractic technique that he utilizes in treatment of patients.
Dr. Shivvers first experienced the benefits of Chiropractic care as a sophomore in high school when he injured his neck after a motorcycle accident.  After many months in pain and dozens of medical doctor appointments he was told he would need exploratory surgery.  Before going through with the procedure his mother took him to a local doctor of chiropractic.  After a few weeks of conservative care the pain was gone and he was able to return to normal activity. The experience left a lasting impression and inspired Dr. Shivvers to become a doctor of chiropractic himself.
Through the proven conservative chiropractic method Dr. Shivvers has successfully treated hundreds of patients who have been diagnosed with arthritis, low back pain, headaches, chronic pain, carpel tunnel, allergies, acute injuries, neck pain and TMJ (jaw problems).
Dr. Shivvers agrees with Thomas Edison when he stated:

"The doctor of the future will give no medicine, but will interest his patients in the care of the human frame, in diet and in the cause and prevention of disease".

With this in mind, Dr. Shivvers  is determined to fulfill his purpose to help as many people as possible to obtain and maintain an optimum level of health and well being by balancing the human body, normalize bodily function, and strengthening vital organs through the drugless holistic and all natural chiropractic approach.

“My work with people in their darkest moments, who were often unable to communicate their pain, or their needs cultivated a true ability to read people and tune in to what they need and how to help them. That skill and empathy has only increased with my practice of Chinese Medicine. I truly love helping people get balanced and well, and live the quality of life they love.”
