Meet the Doctor

Dr. Dean Shivvers grew up in a small town near Des Moines, Iowa. He received his Doctorate degree from Southern California University of Health Sciences in Los Angeles in 2013. While working his way through graduate school, Dr. Dean was also the president of the Gonstead Club, which promotes a specific chiropractic technique that he utilizes in the treatment of patients.

Dr. Dean first experienced the benefits of Chiropractic care as a sophomore in high school when he injured his neck after a motorcycle accident. After many months in pain and dozens of medical doctor appointments he was told he would need exploratory surgery. Before going through with the procedure his mother took him to a local doctor of chiropractic. After a few weeks of conservative care the pain was gone and he was able to return to normal activity. The experience left a lasting impression and inspired me.
